Was passiert, wenn zwei gestandene Hiphop-Formationen mit einer Rock-Band fusionieren, kann man seit vier Jahren an der Dresdner Crossover-Band MADRUST eindrucksvoll erleben. Mit der ungewöhnlichen Besetzung von 3 MCs, Gitarre, Bass, Schlagzeug, Saxophon, DJ und Sampler überzeugt MADRUST mit einem breiten Klangerlebnis. Mit innovativen Songs, kompromisslos-kraftvollen Sounds und eingängig-ausdrucksstarken, vorrangig deutschen Texten zeigen die Jungs von MADRUST, dass auch der teils Old-School orientierte Crossover nicht altbacken daher kommen muss. Das erste Album der Band bietet einen abwechslungsreichen Querschnitt aus dem musikalischen Schaffen der 8 Musiker. Mit der Singleauskopplung „Grandios Amigos" haben MADRUST einen Song komponiert, der Witzigkeit und Spielfreude greifbar macht. Der ideale Track für das heisse Strandparty– Mexico–Feeling! Zur abgerundeten Präsentation dieses Track ist ein Videoclip produziert worden. Dieser erscheint demnächst mit dem Song, der Radio–Edit, Unplugged-Version und dem Remix auf einer Maxisingle. For the last four years the results of the fusion between two existing hip-hop combos with a rock band can be heard in the Dresden crossover band MADRUST. With the unusual line-up of 3 MCs, guitar, bass, drums, saxophone, DJ and sampler, MADRUST make their mark using a wide spectrum of sound. With innovative songs, uncompromising and powerful sounds and catchy and expressive texts – which are mostly in German – the guys from MADRUST show that partly old-school oriented crossover doesn’t have to sound stale. The band’s first album offers a varied cross section of the musical creativity of the 8 musicians. With the single release “Grandios Amigos” MADRUST have composed a song which embodies humour and fun in playing. The ideal track for that hot beach party – Mexico feeling! To round things off, a Videoclip to accompany this track has also been produced. This is due to appear on a maxi-single soon, along with the song, the radio–edit, the unplugged version as well as the remix.
